What temperature should a Vaillant boiler be set at?
Jan 22, 2019 · The simple answer is setting your central heating to a temperature of around 70C and your hot water to 60C is the right answer, but why, you might ask? It …
Jan 05, 2016 · For the radiators there should be a 50 degree temp difference on flow and return of the boiler aim to get flow at 70 and return at 20 (this is optimum, you may not get this depending on the size of your system) Start with a cold system and shut the manual side of all you radiator to off and the thermostats to max.
How hot should my water and radiators be ? | AVForums
Mar 26, 2021 · What temperature should a Vaillant boiler be set at? Your boiler controls explained. To maximise efficiency, we recommend setting your radiator dial to 75 degrees and your hot water to 60 degrees. Once you've got your boiler running at the optimal temperature, you'll want to set the timer for when you need heating the most. With a combi boiler, hot water is on demand.
Dec 12, 2006 · Often HW radiation is sized for 180 degree supply/160 degree return with an (obvious) 170 degree average. This will give you a radiator output of 150 BTUH per SF of EDR in a 70 degree room. If you have a surplus, the maximum temperature you need will go down. 200 degrees is plenty high given our recent warmish weather.
The water in a heat pump-powered heating system is not as hot as from a traditional gas-fired boiler, and that reduces the output of the radiator. Typically, the mean water temperature from a heat pump is 50ºC (122ºF). That's a ∆T of 30º and abn output that's half what it is at ∆T50. Do you need twice as many radiators with a heat pump?
Over 30 psi boiler pressure will cause the pressure relief valve to open. Typical operating temperature settings on a boiler call for a Low temperature (boiler cut-in) between 120 and 160 °F. Typical operating temperatures on a hydronic boiler call for a high temperature (boiler cuts off) of 180-200 °F.
The maximum temperature that we recommend you set your radiator output to is 80 °C. If you have a conventional boiler system, your water cylinder will have its own thermostat. This is usually fitted on the side of the tank. You should set the temperature between 60 and 65 °C but for maximum efficiency, it should be set to around 60 °C.
