What Is The BEST Water Heater Temperature Setting?
ASME's Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) | 2013 Pressure Vessels Division 2 requirements on materials, design, and nondestructive examination are more rigorous than in Division 1; however, higher design stress intensify values are permitted. These rules may also apply to human occupancy pressure vessels typically in the diving industry.

Dec 12, 2006 · Per my earlier post about a gravity hot water conversion to a sealed circulated system. I have another question about the correct temperature setting for boiler itself. I have read that around 180 degrees may be a typical setting for the boiler control, but during my investigations into this system, I noticed that they had it set at 200 degrees.

The design pressure is the maximum expected pressure and normally determined by purchase process engineer. Now, the manufacturer will use following formula to calculate wall thickness: P in this formula is design pressure (provided by the purchaser), R inside radius of the pressure vessel ( …
Boiler and Pressure Vessel is divided into the following sections: Those shown in the figure above are the twelve sections of the code. To properly design a pressure vessel, it is necessary to understand Section VIII of course, and additionally, the designer will need to be familiar with Sections II, V and IX.
